SmarthinkingTM is an online tutoring service for students taking online classes. Students in hybrid and web-enhanced classes should continue to use the Success Center.
Tutoring Subjects
Math, Anatomy, Accounting, Computers, Paragraph Writing, Essay Writing, Grammar, Chemistry, Literature, Economics
Online students are provided 3 hours of tutoring. The link to SmarthinkingTM is in each online class in Blackboard. Students who use the 3 hours may contact Cameron Bentley (cbentley@augustatech.edu) for more hours. Additional hours will be provided if the student’s hours were used for tutoring in an online class and the school limit has not been reached.

App - use the app to submit papers, retrieve returned papers, participate in live tutoring sessions, and submit offline questions

Manage Account - set up text messaging alerts for returned papers and answers, see how many minutes are left in your account
- Drop-In Tutoring - get help within minutes by posting math problems, English sentences, A&P notes, etc. on a whiteboard to go over with a tutor
- Writing Center - Submit an essay or a paragraph for feedback. Allow 48 hours per submission.
- Writing Practice - Practice using a provided topic. The response is automatically graded.
- Scheduled tutoring sessions – Make an appointment at least 2 days in advance to have an audio or video tutoring session.
